Spender Or A Saver: This One Is For You

by Lora Cisneros

Savers are always having happier and more stable lives, and this is one proven thing we have learned in the present economic crisis. On the other hand, it is cool to be a spender and it really reduces your needs and wants for a pleasant life. You have to know yourself whether you are a spender or a saver. Below are the questions that need to be answered and see who you are in terms of financial matter.

1) Do you live your life believing the saying "live for today"? Well, you are a spender. You will be using your credit card more often. Borrowing money with an attitude of paying it back tomorrow is more likely your attitude. Worst, you will borrow money only to pay your other debts. It is the same as refinancing your homes and having problems in terms of paying your other credit.

2) Do you buy things that you can't afford, and defend the action by convincing yourself that you deserved these things anyway? Once more, it is the mentality of being a spender. All of us deserve the nice things around us; and it is only by means of hard work that we can be able to get those things.

Still, when it comes to big purchases, we need to consider the right timing. The only time for giving a reward yourself is when you think that you are able to pay all your debts in time and if there are unexpected big amount of money in return. Allocate at least 10% of that money to treat yourself.

3) Do you ever experience that most of your foods in the refrigerator are wasted? Do you buy many clothes and stock them in your closet? Probably, these are the signs of spending too much. Spenders will keep on buying things without asking themselves if they really need those things.

This means that the food wasted in your refrigerator are not properly calculated. It is also the consequences for having lots of item inside your home, such as clothes, that you don't appreciate. Now, look at your closet, get all the unused clothes, and calculate all the expenses you spent just to buy those clothing items. Then ask yourself-those unused clothes or your money? - 41115
